Goal: $1,000
This helps a person achieve their adventure dreams, securing for them a year’s worth of mentoring, rehabilitation support and needed outdoor gear. Most of all, this will help them develop a sense of hope.

Kia ora, I’m Sam, a trustee at Mastering Mountains, and I am running 100 kilometres this May to raise money for people with neurological conditions, enabling them to achieve their dreams outdoors.
Mastering Mountains wants to see people with neurological conditions experience hope, connection and positive, life-long change through self-directed outdoor adventure.
For many people living with these neurological disorders, a life of adventure in the outdoors can feel far from reach. That’s why Mastering Mountains assists everyday people in overcoming these challenges by helping them achieve their adventure dreams.
Mastering Mountains offers an individualised rehabilitation service that helps people navigate the challenges they face and achieve their dream adventure. Based on a person’s goals, our programme participants typically receive up to $3,000 of specialist rehabilitation support, $1,000 of outdoor gear or equipment, and $3,000 worth of mentoring services, for a total package valued at roughly $7,000. Here are some examples of what this achieves. Your donations support this work and will make a huge difference in these people’s lives.
